It started with a simple idea…

The outdoors can be a place where faith is lived, community is formed, and lives are shaped by Jesus - We can be Sporstmen for God

From the beginning, we noticed something true. When people are outdoors — in the field, on the water, or around a campfire — walls come down. Conversations are more honest. Relationships grow more naturally. Faith becomes something you live, not just something you talk about.

Sportsmen for God was formed to create space for those moments and to invite others into a life centered on Christ.

What we do

Bible Study

Weekly mens bible study, where we connect over the word and our outdoor pursuits.

Invitational Events

Large events like our annual sportsmens banquet provide a place for the Gospel to be shared as well as our common passion for the outdoors.

Mentoring

We invest (both the gospel and our outdoor knowledge) in the next generation, through events, hunts and mentorship.

Outdoor Experiences

Through planned outings and orgnanic hunting adventures shared with other community members we build bonds of faith and fedility.

Rooted in the local church

Our charter chapter started out of what was Salem Baptist Church and is now Summit Church of Ashland, WI. Though not all chapters need to be rooted in a local church we strongly encourage it. We understand that a full discipleship for a Sportsmen For God requires being rooted in what the local church can offer.
